We are moving within the greater Madison are during Summer 2023!

Enrollments are currently paused until we have further information about our new location.
Our next anticipated opening will be September 2023.

Please contact us to receive notifications about future openings.

Location- We are located in West Madison near Cross Country Rd. and Stonebridge Dr. near Chavez Elementary.

Health & Safety- We are a COVID conscious program and our number one goal each day is to return your child safe, healthy, and happy. Children wash their hands upon arrival each day, we exclude children with symptoms of illness, and materials are cleaned regularly. As care takes place in our home (and due to a number of other factors), children and adults do not wear masks during the day. Children over 2 and adults wear masks when in the community on field trips. We follow current CDC guidance and ask all families in our program to do so as well. Everyone in our home (of age) is vaccinated.

Communication- Our program uses a daily app to update you about what is happening here at school. We believe strongly in frequent and ongoing communication with families. Pictures about your child's day are frequently shared and available. Families also receive a monthly newsletter by email.

Supplies- Families provide all personal supplies for their child and will receive a detailed list to prepare for the first day.

Tuition- Tuition rates are based on enrollment in the program and tuition payments are due regularly throughout the school year. Rates vary based on program and enrollment schedule. All tuition details are outlined in the Child Care Contract each family completes during enrollment.

Pets- Our home has two cats and one dog. All interactions with animals are limited and closely supervised for the safety of both the children and animals.

Illness- Our program offers only WELL child care. We require that families keep children home if they are displaying symptoms of illness or are not feeling well enough to keep up with our busy days. It is important to us to keep everyone as healthy as possible.

Calendar- Our program calendar is planned before the beginning of each school year. From time to time, there are small changes, but we strive to plan ahead to provide reliable, professional care. See the calendar here.

School Transportation- We provide school transportation to/from Chavez Elementary. Availability is limited.
Families interested in enrollment with us should complete the OFCC Waitlist Form (Waitlist is temporarily closed). We do not charge a fee to stay on our waitlist. Over time, some families find that their lives, needs, or child's needs change and changes in child care happen. Your family is able to stay on our waitlist as long as you would like.
When we have an upcoming child care opening, all families on our waitlist will be contacted with information about the opening(s). Families who are interested in the opening may begin the interview process with us.
All interviews are scheduled during non-childcare hours (evenings or weekends). The child and parents/guardians must attend the interview (siblings are also welcome!) to meet Ms. Sarah, see our spaces, discuss the program, answer questions, and get to know each other.

When interviews for each space are completed, openings are offered to families who have interviewed with us, are interested in enrolling at OFCC, and are the best fit for our current opening.
A child care space is accepted and secured by returning the Enrollment Packet (Child Care Contract and Family Handbook Agreement) and enrollment fees by the deadline. Unfortunately, openings cannot be held if these items are not returned in a timely manner.
After your child has been enrolled, you will receive an OFCC Registration Packet. This packet includes paperwork, that will be updated annually, for emergency contacts, health history, activity releases, and to help Ms. Sarah learn more about your child and family. We will also send a list of items to bring for the big first day and information about how to set up our daily communication app. This packet should be returned at least one week before your child begins care.

As your family and child prepare for the first day, talk with them about all the exciting things we will do together! Some children are excited for a big change and others need more time to adjust. Every child is different, but usually within a week or two the transition is ending and it's really starting to feel like home at Ms. Sarah's.
